a lot of the Barkhouse go to

or just the

Roland
Morton, he is my ggg grandfather. He was married to
a Waty ? and
then a Margaret Cook from Port Mouton queens
county. They lived in
Liverpool queens county, but some
say he was from shelburne, and
some from queens, and some
from Lunenburg counties. I have researched
both queens
and shelburne, without success, so lunenburg is the
one
left I have not researched. I have found all of their
children,,,I
think. If you have any info of where he came
from, siblings and or
parentage, I would be very greatful.
He is in the 1871 census, and
in 1881 margaret is a widow
and a servant in a home of a peterson,
which she later
marries. Found info that he may have died around
april of
1879, but have no knowledge of where he is buried, found
all of his children's buriel sites, and both wives. He
could
be buried there and just never had a headstone,
which is difficult
to understand as he and his son John
Henry were stone masons, as
well as being a butcher. Help
if you can! Angela

My great-great paternal grandfather
Daniel Mader (Mader's Cove) was
married to an Elizabeth
Sinnett. They were married in 1855. Her parents
were John
and Charlotte. I've seen different spellings for this name
and I haven't had much success in finding any info on the
Sinnette

I'd like to know
where this family lived, as I don't seem
to be able to find them
in the early census records. Also,
I think this surname may be Irish.
I'd appreciate any
comments on the above. Thanks very much.

From the diary of
D.J. Rudolf Mayor of Lunenburg 1901, it
looks like he spent a lot
of time with Daniel M Owen as
well.
It is our understanding
the Owen's were a promodinate
family in Lunenbury.
I would
like to locate any info that could help me confirm
this information
as well as help me to build on this
family tree info. Also I am looking
for some pictures of
Daniel Miller Owen and his family if there are
any around.
Unfortunatley with the death of our grandfather in
WWII we
have lost a lot of the family history and conections that
we would otherwise have.
Anyhelp any could provide would
be great.
Also if anyone know if any of the copies of the birth
or
marriage, or death certificates are avaliable on line at
no
cost please let me know where to look.
Please feel free to e-mail
me at bad_kat@sympatico.ca
Thanks everyone

Camperdown NS. He would be a great uncle to me.
I have a handwritten
note from a Mary who refers to him as
Uncle to one of my Aunts with
some brief genealogical
info. In particular it talks about Arthur
having someone
research his genealogy and finding the fabled "Indian
Princess" with his great grandmother who married a
Stilwell.
I know these things are almost always legend but
this note says Arthur
received a grant because of his
indian heritage.
Would that
be a land grant and/or does anyone have any
tips of researching that?
Thinking that may hold a
treasure trove of info for me unless fraud
was common for
those things back then:) Hoping I can find some living
descendants of Arthur that may have this info.
Thanks all,
John

I am trying hard to find my grandmother. She

She was born in 1881 after
the census was taken and by the 1901 she
was already
married and living in the USA. The only thing that I
might
be able to use to tie her to the Charles and Mary that I
found
would be the 1891 census. Is there a place that it
would be searchable?
